If we haven’t met yet, let me introduce myself properly. My name is Persian, and it means “the 14th night of the moon” — the night the moon is full and brightest. Globally, people often translate it simply as moonlight. So in a way, I was born under the idea of the moon.

The Meaning of “MoonOpuluna”

When I created this brand, I didn’t pick the name randomly. The “Moon” and “luna” parts are a direct echo of my own name, Mehtap. My identity is literally tied to the moon.

The “opu” part comes from “Opulence” — but not the loud, flashy kind measured in gold. For me, it’s about inner richness: emotions, depth, and the quiet feeling of “this finally feels like me” when you walk into a room that truly reflects your soul.

MoonOpuluna is the place where all of that meets: my name, moonlight, emotion, and a soulful kind of abundance.

My Artistic DNA: A Fusion of Eras

I create for people who are sensitive to atmosphere. For the ones who save a little too many pins on Pinterest. For those who believe colors can heal and that a wall is not just a surface, but a place to tell a story.

But my imagination refuses to be put in a single box.

While you will often see the melancholic depth of Amedeo Modigliani in my portraits, my soul is equally fed by the bold, dancing forms of Henri Matisse, the rhythmic patterns of Yayoi Kusama, and the geometric balance of Bauhaus.

My work is a bridge between these worlds. It blends the quiet simplicity of Japandi with the chaotic energy of the Avant-Garde.

I’ve never been interested in making “just something pretty for your wall.” What I care about is how art can change the way a space feels. How a certain shade can calm your nervous system, or how a single piece can make you say, “Yes. Now this feels like home.”
